Rules of Participation

  1. We use Chroma Keying process to replace Green color with a different background element.
  2. So,Please Do Not wear any dress that has green color in it.
  3. Also, Please do not have anything in green in the background.
  4. We will let you know the allocated time for  your talent show the day before the event.
  5. You will need to create a Free skype ID to participate in the Virtual Talent Show.
  6. On the day of the event, please login to your skype account and connect with Skype ID:  My Dream TV USA
  7. Make sure to be at a well illuminated room so that your performance can be clearly seen on the camera
  8. You can showcase any talent you have like singing, dancing, mono-acting, mimicry, poem recitation, etc
  9. Each participant will get only 4 minutes to showcase his/her talent
  10. Reporting Time: 1 hour before your scheduled time
  11. Please register here and pay here to participate.
All Participants will be awarded  Volunteering Hours and Certificates.

As the new year begins, we would like to give you all a few updates.
 
Support to Projects in India
Asha NYCNJ Chapter is pleased to announce that we are supporting two new projects in India! Funds raised from the competitions and events we host will go to these projects in India. 
 
The first project is the Nishta Night Shelter, located in the rural area of Baikunthapur, West Bengal. As part of this project, we are providing financial aid in order to prevent sex trafficking and prostitution. More details here
The second project is Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha (SSS) based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra. As part of this project, we are providing financial support and education for 140 children with mental disabilities in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. More details here

Amid these tough times, we would like to thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm throughout these past months.
 
We are also pleased to announce our online competitions! 
Poetry Competition –  The theme is COVID-19. The flyer is attached below! 
Photo Competition – The theme is Summer. The flyer is attached below! 
Both competitions go from July 10th to September 4th, 2020. 
Email your entries to nycnj@ashanet.org. Please include your name, email, phone number, and age with your submission. The entry fee is $15 each for both competitions, with an unlimited number of submissions. We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity! All participants will receive a certificate of participation and volunteering hours for the effort put into this competition.
Please Note:- Each participant can claim a maximum of 8 volunteering hours! 
Recently, we conducted a live three-day Virtual Talent Show on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. You can view the entire show in a playlist here!
We want to give a big thank you to all participants and we hope you had an amazing time! We are pleased to say that in such a short time, we got a fantastic response! We are sorry we could not accommodate all registrations due to time limitations, but please stay connected with us on Facebook to participate in our second season which will be coming up soon! 
We will also be conducting our Annual Awards Ceremony in our next virtual show!

We believe this is just the beginning. We have a lot to achieve over the coming months and years.

Our goal is to provide education to all the underprivileged children in India and we have come a long way in this mission. We are confident we will make a lot more progress in achieving this with your continued support.

Thanks to your continued support, we had a very eventful 2019! We closed it with the much appreciated and enjoyed event at TopGolf Edison on December 15th. For those who missed it, here is the coverage of the event by ITV Gold.
