Project Overview:
Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha (SSS) is a research institute and special school for the development and rehabilitation of mentally handicapped children. SSS is a charitable, non-profiting and none-aided organization.
- Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha was established in 1993 and is based in Nagpur, in the state of Maharashtra in central India.
- The school provides special education, several therapies (e.g. physiotherapy, speech therapy, music therapy), vocational training, public awareness and support for parents and caregivers
- The school currently supports approximately 120 children who range from borderline to profoundly affected.

Asha NYCNJ’s Influence:
Our chapter has recently started to support SSS along with few other chapters of Asha for Education. Our financial support goes towards running the institution and its activities including teachers’ salaries and development of remote learning for the children during COVID-19.
