I am taking my first (or more like 25k) steps toward giving back by supporting a cause that is especially close to my heart – education. I am running the Philadelphia Half Marathon on November 21, 2026, and fundraising for the Asha for Education NYC/NJ chapter.
Asha, which translates to hope, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to driving socio-economic change in India through education for underprivileged children. Growing up, my parents filled my home with books and found me the best of teachers – largely shaping who I am today. Asha similarly catalyzes education by working at the grassroots level for children who otherwise do not have the support and resources.
