Hi everyone!
My name is Abhishek Pandey, and I’m running the Philadelphia Marathon on November 22, 2026 for Asha for Education.
Asha for Education is a fully volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating socioeconomic change in India through the education of underprivileged children. Asha supports grassroots projects across India that work to give children access to education and opportunities they otherwise may not have.
Running my first marathon is a big personal challenge for me, but being able to use that challenge to support children and education in India makes the experience much more meaningful.
I truly believe education is the most important and impactful part of life. Education does more than provide knowledge, it gives people opportunities, independence, and the ability to build a better future for themselves and their families. I have been fortunate to have access to those opportunities throughout my life, and I believe a child’s circumstances should never determine whether they have the chance to receive an education and reach their potential.
