October Highlights

Hello, all supporters and thank you very much for all your support through the past years. I recently joined the NYCNJ Chapter as Asha Teens co-vice president, and I wanted to attempt to keep you posted on upcoming events and how your donations are being put to work going forward.

We would like to thank you for your support and enthusiasm throughout the past years. As you already know, Asha For Education is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-driven organization. Its mission is to bring socio-economic change, by helping to provide underprivileged children with an education.

With help from noble supporters and donors like you, we were even able to take over an existing chapter. This chapter is now called the NYCNJ chapter! After opening in August of this year, we have had 3 new teen volunteers and 3 new adult volunteers join our noble cause.

In September, we conducted an award ceremony, to recognize our many Asha Teens members who have demonstrated passion, leadership, and overall excellence in our chapter. Many of our members received a Presidential Volunteer Service Award that day!

One of our volunteers also recently conducted some marketing to help spread awareness at the Chesterfield Ganesh Utsav 2019. They even raised some donations through this effort.

Over the past months, our volunteers have been working very diligently. We have made some updates to our website, opened new socials, and even assigned new officer roles! And after hours of brainstorming and planning, we are also very excited to announce the new chapter’s first fundraising event…
