August 2020 Newswletter

Hello everyone, we hope you all are having a good summer! Here is our August Newsletter.

Amid these tough times, we would like to thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm throughout these past months.
 
We are also pleased to announce our online competitions! 
Poetry Competition –  The theme is COVID-19. The flyer is attached below! 
Photo Competition – The theme is Summer. The flyer is attached below! 
Both competitions go from July 10th to September 4th, 2020. 
Email your entries to nycnj@ashanet.org. Please include your name, email, phone number, and age with your submission. The entry fee is $15 each for both competitions, with an unlimited number of submissions. We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity! All participants will receive a certificate of participation and volunteering hours for the effort put into this competition.
Please Note:- Each participant can claim a maximum of 8 volunteering hours! 
Recently, we conducted a live three-day Virtual Talent Show on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. You can view the entire show in a playlist here!
We want to give a big thank you to all participants and we hope you had an amazing time! We are pleased to say that in such a short time, we got a fantastic response! We are sorry we could not accommodate all registrations due to time limitations, but please stay connected with us on Facebook to participate in our second season which will be coming up soon! 
We will also be conducting our Annual Awards Ceremony in our next virtual show!

As you may all be aware, Asha for Education has been highlighted by Charity Navigator as one of the top 6 nonprofit organizations providing “Relief Supplies: Community Support & Services” during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our efforts have covered more than 16 states in India, and thousands of families of daily wage earners, marginalized communities, orphans/homeless children, and many more. Thank you to our project partners and donors who have donated to our COVID-19 Relief Fundraiser and stepped forward at this time of crisis to provide hope! Please keep supporting us as we continue to reach out to more families in need!
